DiscipleTown is fundamentally different from most Kids Church offerings. The Kidologist, Karl Bastian, and DiscipleLand have joined forces to create an exciting new way to “do” children’s church.
DiscipleTown...
Is "Undated," "Ungraded," and Translation-independent DiscipleTown gives you maximum flexibility and adapts to your ministry setting.
DiscipleTown is "undated." Start using it at any time—in a variety of ministry settings.
DiscipleTown is "ungraded." Teachers can select the most appropriate levels of learning for their children within the lessons.
DiscipleTown is "translation-independent." Kids and teachers will be comfortable using their preferred English-language Bible translation. In each lesson, your children will be encouraged to open and use their own Bibles to find answers.
Is Customizable Every church is unique, with different needs to create a meaningful Kids Church service. DiscipleTown comes packed with activity ideas, skits, object lessons, puppet scripts, and videos—more than most churches can use! Pick and choose elements to create the ideal lesson. The PowerPoint Slide Presentations are also readily adaptable to flow with your lesson outline.
Builds Disciples DiscipleTown was created to make disciples. It is based on a children's discipleship system that features sequential learning and helps kids reach their full potential as disciples of Jesus Christ. DiscipleTown will help your children become dynamic disciples who:
- Develop a reservoir of KNOWLEDGE based on a Biblical worldview.
- Display Christlike CHARACTER in every area of life.
- Demonstrate faithful CONDUCT that honors God and helps people.
Teaches More Bible Other Kids Church curricula focus so much on entertainment that they fail to impact children with God's primary teaching tool—His Word. DiscipleTown starts with solid, content-based Bible lessons. We believe God gave the Church the whole Bible to read, to study, and to teach our children.
Engages Kids' Interest Karl Bastian gets kids. He draws from his boundless creativity to craft lessons that are fun and energetic. World-class artists and graphic designers have combined their talents to provide state-of-the-art visuals. Hysterical videos—that children "take to" instantly—drive home important Biblical truths.
Three special children—Dee, Cy, and Paul—serve as role-model characters in every lesson. Dee is a Caucasian girl; Cy is Asian; Paul is African-American. Put their names together and you have Dee-Cy-Paul (disciple). The little dog that accompanies them is named Chip (DEE-CY-PAUL-CHIP = discipleship). DiscipleLand's multi-cultural emphasis is deliberate. Children learn that Jesus loves and saves children all over the world, from every race and nation.
Connects to the Home DiscipleTown encourages kids to consistently practice Biblical principles in the home. An exciting take-home resource—the DiscipleTown Table Talker—challenges families to set aside three times a week to discuss the principles kids are learning at DiscipleTown. Pre-written e-mails help church leaders stay in touch with their children’s parents, offering encouragement and friendly reminders.
