Seminar: Getting The Most From Your DiscipleLand Curriculum
A 3-hour seminar that will train, encourage, and challenge new users of Discipleland. The seminar covers the following topics:
- History of DiscipleLand
- Educational philosophy
- Effective use of the teacher guide, disciple guide and all supplemental teaching resources
- How to plan a lesson
- How to use DiscipleLand puppets
- Accessing and using DiscipleLand's online resources
- Note: when training both preschool and elementary teachers, it is best to schedule an hour with each group individually.
Seminars: Teacher Training Seminar
- 1. Taking Your Children's Ministry to the Peak: 90-minute workshop that will equip, encourage and challenge every teacher. A DiscipleLand curriculum review is included in this presentation.
- 2. Learning Styles: 90-minute presentation that introduces teachers and parents to the learning preferences of each child. Teachers will discover the reasons for using a variety of teaching methods in their classroom.
- 3. Teaching For Changed Lives: 60-minute workshop that utilizes the challenges, encouragement and equipping from "Taking your Ministry to the Peak" without an emphasis on DiscipleLand curriculum.
- 4. Understanding Preschoolers: 60-minute presentation that looks at the developmental stages of a young child. It also addresses the spiritual and emotional needs of a preschooler.
Seminars: Parenting
- 1. Satan's Seductions: 75-minute presentation that opens every parent's eyes to the things Satan is doing to pull their children away from God.
- 2. Equipping Parents to be the Spiritual Leaders in the Home: 75-minute workshop that gives parents a variety of practical ideas for taking charge of the spiritual nurturing of their children. It is recommended as the follow-up to "Satan's Seductions..."
National Training Specialist: About Dick Crider
Dick Crider, who leads the seminars, has trained over 60,000 teachers and parents. He has served as a youth pastor, children's pastor and worship leader. He has been a Christian education consultant working with local churches since 1986.
Dick's unique family gives him the experience for understanding today's children and the needs of parents. His passion for discipling children and helping parents become the spiritual leaders in their homes has inspired thousands of teachers and parents.
The church hosting a seminar is asked to participate in the travel expenses to a maximum of $400 (contiguous United States only). Four week advanced scheduling suggested.
