Quarter A
In this quarter children will learn about God the creator. They will overview Genesis 1-17.

 Quarter A: God Made Us

 God punished Adam, Eve, and the Serpent for disobeying Him.

 Noah and his family obeyed God and built an ark.

 People speak many different languages today because they disobeyed God.
11 The Promise: Abraham Leaves Home Genesis 11:27—12:9
 Abraham trusted God to guide him and to bless him.
12 The Land: Abraham Shares with Lot Genesis 13
 God blessed Abraham because he trusted God to take care of him.

 Esau thought that his food was more important than his future inheritance.
4 The Liar: Jacob Takes Esau's Blessing Genesis 27:1-40
 Jacob's dishonesty ruined his family relationships.
5 The Ladder: Jacob Meets the LORD Genesis 27:41—28:22
 Jacob decided to serve the LORD God.
6 The Worker: The LORD Blesses Jacob Genesis 29-31
 Jacob worked hard and God blessed him.
7 The Brothers: Esau Forgives Jacob Genesis 32-33
 Jacob asked Esau to forgive him for tricking him.
8 The Coat: Joseph's Brothers Become Jealous Genesis 37
 Joseph's jealous brothers sold him into slavery.
9 The Slave: Joseph Helps Potiphar Genesis 39:1-6
 Joseph was successful in everything he did because God helped him.
10 The Dream: Joseph Becomes Egypt's Leader Genesis 40-41
 God helped Joseph understand Pharaoh's dream.
11 The Reunion: Joseph Welcomes his Brothers Genesis 42-45
 Joseph was happy that God reunited him with his brothers.
12 The Blessing: Jacob's Family Grows in Egypt Genesis 45:21—49:33
 Jacob's family grew larger and enjoyed God's blessing while living in Egypt.

Quarter C
In this quarter children will learn about God's guidance. They will overview Exodus—Deuteronomy.

 Moses' family kept baby Moses alive by hiding him in a basket.
2 The Burning Bush: God Calls to Moses Exodus 3
 Moses listened to God speak in a burning bush and obeyed Him.
3 The Plagues: Pharaoh Says 'No' Exodus 5-10
 God showed His great power to Pharaoh and the Egyptians through Moses.
4 The Passover: Pharaoh Says 'Go' Exodus 11-12
 God passed over His people and freed them from slavery in Egypt.
5 The Red Sea: God Rescues His People Exodus 14
 God rescued His people from the Egyptians by miraculously opening the Red Sea.
6 The Manna: God Provides Food Exodus 16:1—17:7
 God gave His people food and water while they were in the desert.
7 The Hands: Aaron and Hur Help Moses Exodus 17:8-16
 Moses held up his hands to help God's people win the battle.
8 The Ten Commandments: God Gives Rules Exodus 19-20
 God gave His people rules to help them follow Him.
9 The Golden Calf: The People Worship an Idol Exodus 32
 The people disobeyed God's rule to worship Him alone.
10 The Tent: The People Build a Tabernacle Exodus 35-40
 God's people helped to build a special worship tent.
11 The Cloud: God Leads His People Numbers 9:15—10:36
 God led His people during their years in the desert.
12 The Spies: The People Explore Canaan Numbers 13-14
 God's people did not believe that God would defeat their enemies in the promised land.

In this quarter children will learn about God's provision. They will overview Joshua—Ruth.

 Quarter D: God Helps Us

 After Moses died, Joshua became the leader of God's people.
2 The Ribbon: Rahab Hides the Spies Joshua 2
 Rahab kept the two spies safe because she trusted God.
3 The Promised Land: God's People Cross the River Joshua 3-4
 All the people saw God's power when the Jordan River stopped flowing and they walked across.
4 The Victory: Jericho's Walls Fall Down Joshua 6
 God made the walls of Jericho fall down when His people obeyed Him.
5 The Thief: Achan Steals from God Joshua 7
 God knew that Achan had hidden the things he had stolen.
6 The Treaty: Joshua Keeps His Promise Joshua 9
 Joshua kept his promise to the Gibeonites, even though they lied to him.
7 The Long Day: The Sun Stands Still Joshua 10
 God answered Joshua's prayer to help his soldiers defeat the enemy.
8 The Judge: Deborah Delivers God's People Judges 4-5
 Deborah and Barak confidently led God's people to defeat the enemy.
9 The Wool Fleece: Gideon Becomes a Warrior Judges 6
 God called fearful Gideon to be a brave warrior.
10 The Little Army: Gideon Defeats the Midianites Judges 7
 Gideon followed God's plan and led a small army to defeat a huge enemy army.
11 The Strong Man: Samson Shows His Strength Judges 13-16
 God made Samson very strong so other people would believe in God.
12 The Reward: Ruth Chooses the LORD Ruth 1-4
 God blessed Ruth because she worked hard to help her family.

In this quarter children will learn about God's sovereignty. They will overview 1 Samuel.

 Quarter E: God Loves Us

 God answered Hannah's prayer and gave her a baby boy.
2 The Voice: God Calls to Samuel 1 Samuel 3
 God called Samuel to speak to others for Him.

 God told Samuel to anoint Saul as the king of His people.
4 The Stubborn King: Saul Disobeys 1 Samuel 13; 15
Because Saul didn't wait for Samuel, God rejected Saul as king.
5 The Heart: Samuel Anoints David 1 Samuel 16:1-13
 Samuel anointed David to be the new king.
6 The Shepherd: David Protects the Sheep 1 Samuel 17:34-37
 God helped David protect his sheep from danger.
7 The Harp: David Plays Songs for Saul 1 Samuel 16:14-23
 David played music so King Saul would feel better.
8 The Giant: David Kills Goliath 1 Samuel 17:1-58
 God helped David defeat Goliath, the giant.
9 The Friends: Jonathan Warns David 1 Samuel 18-20
 David and Jonathan promised to be best friends.
10 The Plot: God Protects David 1 Samuel 23:13-29
 King Saul was jealous of David's growing fame.
11 The Servant: Abigail Brings Food 1 Samuel 25
 Abigail gladly brought food to thank David and his soldiers.
12 The Spear: David Respects King Saul 1 Samuel 26
 David did not hurt King Saul when he had an opportunity to do so.
