The information on this page deals with questions and situations that current DiscipleLand users may encounter. If you are not yet using DiscipleLand, or are considering using an additional DiscipleLand product line, please review the information in the "General Product Questions" FAQ.
2. Where can I get the Hidden People Cards mentioned in the Teacher Guides?
Hidden People Cards referenced in Core Bible Teacher Guides are available for free download or may be ordered while supplies last by calling 866-343-2475. Card packets for 12 students are $4.95.
3. Where can I find DiscipleLand Christmas and Easter Lessons?
Because DiscipleLand curriculum is undated, you have complete flexibility when to use each resource. Christmas and Easter Lessons are available separately in kits that include everything you need to teach a single lesson to 12 students. DiscipleLand Christmas and Easter Lessons are available at the online DiscipleLand Store throughout the year. Availability of seasonal resources varies by season.
4. I can't find the music that is mentioned in DiscipleLand Teacher Guides.
Core Bible Teacher Guides include sheet music; however, no recorded music is currently available. Both Core Bible and Preschool Teacher Guides suggest songs to sing for each lesson. Recordings of such songs are available at your local Christian bookstore.
5. We are using Level [X]. I am looking for the second year of material for that Level.
Each DiscipleLand Level is age-specific--only one year of curriculum. If your class combines children of different ages, purchase the next level up or down for the second year. During successive years, alternate between these two levels.
6. How do I know if my DiscipleLand resources are the newest/most current version?
Starting with 2005 printings, the back cover of each DiscipleLand workbook indicates the print date.
7. My class combines kids of various ages. Which DiscipleLand resources should I use?
For classes that have children of more than two different grade levels, we suggest using the DiscipleLand Adventure curriculum.
8. We have readers and non-readers in the same class. How do we use DiscipleLand?
DiscipleLand Preschool is designed for pre-readers or non-readers. DiscipleLand Core Bible and Adventure curriculum is for readers. Teachers can adapt Core Bible (level 1 only) for children with differing reading abilities.
9. Is it possible to use the Teacher Guide without using the student workbooks?
This is possible, but not recommended. Workbooks also add an exciting dimension to each lesson and encourage children to use their Bibles. Teachers find that they work much harder when their children do not have workbooks. Please note: copying DiscipleLand resources is illegal.
10. I'd like to make copies of DiscipleLand resources. Can I do that?
DiscipleLand resources are copyrighted, protected by law and are therefore not reproducible. Teacher Guides, however, allow users to reproduce certain pages as handouts to children (look for a "Permission to copy" note at the bottom of these pages). Otherwise, it is illegal to photocopy DiscipleLand curriculum.
11. I've just completed an Adventure. Which Adventure should I do next?
The Adventures can be done in any order you wish--there is no prescribed pattern to follow.
12. What's the difference between DiscipleLand Core Bible and DiscipleLand Elementary?
To better reflect its content, DiscipleLand Elementary was renamed DiscipleLand Core Bible in 2004. DiscipleLand Core Bible, for grades 1-6, establishes a Biblical foundation, preparing children for a lifetime of walking with God and being Jesus' disciples.
