Matthew 25:34-40

4: Worship God by Serving People

John 13:1-17

How to serve God and others.

Lesson 1 Summary

In this lesson, introduce kids to worship as a concept that is far broader and deeper than merely singing hymns and praise songs. Challenge children to consider new and different ways that they can worship God.

Lesson 2 Summary

In this lesson, introduce kids to personal worship. Invite and inspire them to spend time alone with God each day—choosing a time, a place, and a plan to meet with the Lord. But learning the skill and discipline of spending time alone with God will establish a spiritual foundation that will sustain them for years to come.

Lesson 3 Summary

In a culture that often focused on getting and gaining, God commands His children to be generous and giving. Teaching children to give generously is essential. Once they discover the joy and fulfillment that is found in giving to others, they will form lifetime habits that will reap fruit into eternity.

Lesson 4 Summary

We live in a world that defines status by how many people serve you. Christ turned this concept upside-down by demonstrating that in His Kingdom, the greatest are those who serve (Luke 22:25-27). The Lord said to His status-seeking followers, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve" (Mark 10:44-46). If the Son of God came to serve, how much more so should we!
